Rustam Minnikhanov in Nizhnekamsk region: The main task now is harvesting and sowing

On August 14, at his meeting with grain-growers of Nizhnekamsk municipal region, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov wished them good weather and good working mood.

During his working trip to the region, Minnikhanov was informed about the progress of the harvesting campaign.

At the perennial grass field near the village of Starosheshminsk Minnikhanov and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov met farm machinery operators involved in the harvesting, heads and investors of the agroindustrial complex, heads of rural settlements of Nizhnekamsk region.

The main task now is harvesting and sowing, Minnikhanov said at his meeting with farmers. He said that during his inspection of the course of the harvesting campaign in regions of the republic and meetings with villagers, the operational situation at the fields is assessed. "We have visited different regions. We allocate additional financial funds for the purchase of mineral fertilizers, the implementation of the programme aimed at the preservation of livestock and dairy herd in personal farms. These funds must be properly used," he said.

Tatarstan President also asked about the readiness of schools for the new academic year. Minnikhanov was informed that six kindergartens are being repaired in Nizhnekamsk region, road repairs are underway, and other regional programmes are also being implemented.

Minnikhanov also reminded that 200 best combine drivers of the republic will receive a reward of 100,000 roubles.
