Rustam Minnikhanov wishes grain-growers of Tetyushi region good weather and successful harvesting

On August 23, during his working visit to Tetyushi region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov made a helicopter fly over the region's fields to get acquainted with the progress of the harvesting campaign.

Tatarstan President was accompanied by Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov, Head of Tetyushi municipal region Ramis Safiullov and other officials.

In the field of perennial grasses Minnikhanov talked to farm machinery operators, heads of farms, investors and heads of regional settlements, who presented samples of grown products, including grain crops and vegetables, potatoes, sugar beet and informed him about main agro-industrial indicators.

Safiullov reported about the current situation in the fields, agricultural machinery used, and winter sowing. In particular, he said that 45 per cent of grain area has been harvested in the region, 87,300 tonnes of grain have been threshedd with an average yield of 45 centners per hectare.

At the end of the meeting Minnikhanov wished grain-growers good weather and successful harvesting.
