Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in VII Tatarstan President’s Cup charity golf tournament

On September 2, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of youth affairs and sport Vladimir Leonov, Board Chairman of the Charity Foundation “Ronald McDonald House” Khazmat Khasbulatov took part in the opening ceremony of the 7th Tatarstan President’s Cup charity golf tournament at Sviyaga hills golf club.

Sixty players from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Irkutsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Kazan and other cities are taking part in the competitions.

All funds collected during the tournament will be sent to “Ronald McDonald House” in Kazan, a free family hotel for parents, whose children undergo treatment at Children’s regional hospital. Last year the sum of charity contributions made more than 2 mln roubles. This time organizers collected 3 mln roubles.

Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the guests and thanked everyone for their participation. He handed in a symbolic bill for the fund’s development to Director General of the Charity Foundation “Ronald McDonald House” Svetlana Polyakova.

On 1 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize and Medal Award Ceremony held in Kazan Federal University and handed in the award to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Researcher of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Ivanov who was awarded for the outstanding achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.

Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers discusses measures on stepping up traffic safety, decrease of car accidents and reducing the severity of their consequences in the republic

On 27 November the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with al municipalities taking part in it via videoconference which discussed measures on stepping up traffic safety, decrease of car accidents and reducing the severity of their consequences in the republic.
