Rustam Minnikhanov opened charitable golf tournament for RT President Cup

The first charitable golf tournament for RT President Cup started in Verkhneuslonsky region of Tatarstan. RT President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in official opening ceremony.

First charitable golf tournament is held on the field of golf club “Kazan”. Representatives of business, authorities and political figures from Tatarstan, Moscow, and other regions of Russia and foreign countries are taking part in the tournament, - by and large 11 teams each consisted of four people. The first team from Tatarstan is led by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov.

The event is organized by group of companies "Media Art", golf store network "Golf East" and agency for sports marketing "Sportima".

Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed participants and guests of competitions. He noted that golf which has become new Olympic kind of sport is developing only in five Russian regions.

Head of republic noted that earnings from the tournament would be spent on improvement of facilities of Tatarstan basketball team of wheelchair-bound invalids. Rustam Minnikhanov handed cheque for 300 000 roubles to the team captain on behalf of participants.
