Days of Moscow in Tatarstan Republic officially opened in Kazan

August, 25. An official opening of Days of Moscow in Tatarstan Republic took place in Kazan. RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and Deputy Mayor of Moscow Aleksandr Gorbenko welcomed guests in Tatar state opera and ballet theatre named after M.Jalil.
Head of Tatarstan Government Ildar Khalikov greeted Moscow guests on behalf of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. He noted that besides official delegation of Moscow Government numerous Tatar compatriots - representatives of scientific, creative, sport and business spheres arrived in Tatarstan.
Ildar Khalikov informed that the idea of holding Days of Moscow in Tatarstan and Days of Tatarstan in Moscow occurred in the process of joint work and in connection with signing bilateral Agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between Moscow and Tatarstan and plan of its realization for 2011-2013 by Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in March this year. “Moscow is a key strategic partner of Tatarstan. Consolidation and expansion of business and creative relationships, social sphere are the main areas of our work”, - Ildar Khalikov said.
RT Premier noted large-scale trade-economic cooperation of Moscow and Tatarstan. Interregional commodity turnover of republic with Moscow made 40 bln. roubles in 2010 that is 20 % more than in 2009. Close cooperation is established between parliament of Tatarstan Republic and Moscow state Duma. During the visit of Tatarstan delegation led by Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin to Moscow in March 2011 a new Protocol on development of inter-Parliamentary cooperation between Tatarstan and Moscow was signed.
During the last few years many important interesting events in the sphere of business and culture have been held. Ildar Khalikov reminded that annual Moscow Sabantui draws a wide response in publics. “I would like to express gratitude on behalf of all Tatarstan citizens and our compatriots living in Moscow for organization of this holiday by Moscow Government”, - Tatarstan Premier said.
By words of Ildar Khalikov the program of Days of Moscow in Tatarstan is very eventful. Today official delegation met with sportsmen of basketball club of wheelchair users “Wings of Bars”, Tatarstan participants of Paralympic Games, veterans of Great Patriotic War and participants of Battle of Moscow. At Kazan River port guests honored memory of the lost in “Bulgaria” shipwreck.
Certain programs and sites are functioning throughout republic and Kazan: IT-park, SEZ “Alabuga”, technopark “Idea”, technopolis “Himgrad”. Large families, teachers’ dynasties, orphan homes, children house of Raifa Monasteryи are receiving presents from Moscow Government. National library of the Republic of Tatarstan received books, zoological-botanical garden now has new dweller –a white bear. “It is just a small part of those events which are being held currently in Tatarstan”, - Ildar Khalikov stated.
He reminded that a return event – Days of Tatarstan in Moscow will be held this year in November. “We hope that Moscow delegation will enjoy many things we will try to show in republic. We will do our best to organize Days of Tatarstan in Moscow in a proper manner”,- Ildar Khalikov assured.
Greetings addressed to Tatarstan citizens on behalf of Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin were read out by his deputy Aleksandr Gorbenko. It is said in the greetings that “in a multinational Moscow family talented and initiative representatives of Tatarstan Republic have achieved considerable success in all spheres. I am sure that Days of Moscow in Tatarstan Republic will become our common holiday for both regions and a good working site for developing cooperation”.
Performance of State chamber orchestra “Virtuosos of Moscow” led by Vladimir Spivakov was a gift for the opening ceremony of Days of Moscow in Tatarstan.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
