Race for Tatarstan President Cup wins stallion from Ramzan Kadyrov’s stable wins the races for RT President prize

Equestrian sport competitions dedicated to Day of City and Day of Republic took place at Kazan race track on August, 30. The main event was a horse race for RT President prize with prize fund of 3 mln. roubles. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the equestrian sport holiday.
The prize of Kazan city (for 2-year thoroughbreds, distance – 1400 m, prize fund – 1 mln. roubles) was played firstly. A stallion Lemon Shot (equestrian sport club “Aktai”, Kazan) went ahead, but just at the end of homestretch a mare Lemon Love Kid (equestrian sport club “Aktai”, Kazan) on which jockey T.Metshin was performing outraced Lemon Shot. Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin handed award to the winner.
Then a prize dedicated to Day of Tatarstan Republic (for 3-year thoroughbreds, distance – 1000 m, prize fund – 1 mln. roubles) was played. A mare Krimson Bit went ahead but just at the first corner a stud Patrol outraced it (KSK “Dinamo”, MVD RT, master-jockey N. Kolomeitsev). Finally Patrol was the first to finish the race. Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov handed prize to the winner.
Equestrian sport holiday ended with the race for RT President prize (for 3-year thoroughbreds distance – 2400 m, prize fund – 3 mln. roubles).
The best Tatarstan horses took part in the races one of which was a stud Sunshine Lemon (KSK “Dinamo”, MVD RT, master-jockey V.Melekhov). Sunshine Lemon is the holder of RT President prize 2009. A stallion Bariton from the stable of Ramzan Kadyrov could have been a worthy adversary (master-jockey Kh. Ulybaev). The following Tatarstan studs could compete for RT President prize – Pacific Dancer (owner of JSC “Tatneft”, master-jockey A.Ishnazarov), and King (KSK “Dinamo”, MVD RT, master-jockey S.Kruglykhin). We remind that on June, 24 the King won races for RT President prize at Kazan race track.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
