The leader of the republic noted that Tatarstan has maintained all previously established contacts with the American business and tries to increase them. "Two modern enterprises were launched in the special economic zone during the sanctions period. And today, economic indicators for our trade turnover are going up. Over the first six months of the current year, we have more than doubled the volume of our trade and economic turnover. This means that life goes on," Minnikhanov said and added that today's meeting should also contribute to establishing relations between the countries.

"I am sure that our political differences will find the logical conclusion, because this cannot last forever. At some point, each of us should take a step back, and then agree on how to move forward, " Tatarstan President addressed parliamentarians of one of the US states.

Minnikhanov stressed that all the previously opened joint Russian-American enterprises are operating successfully in the region. At the same time, there are many opportunities and areas for further development of mutually beneficial business, including aircraft engineering, helicopter industry, shipbuilding and automotive industry, oil production and refining, agriculture, digital economy and innovations, as well as medicine, pharmacology and science, he added.

Co-leader of the delegation from the New York State Legislative Assembly Mr. Luis Sepulveda confirmed that despite the current situation at the federal level, members of the delegation are aimed at creating conditions for joint work of the peoples of the two countries. "I hope that this visit will create opportunities not only for us, but for cooperation of future generations, despite disagreements between our federal governments," he stressed on behalf of the delegation.
