22 September 2017, Friday

On September 22, during the forum "A Glimpse into the Future", which is taking place in Kazan, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin took part in business breakfast hosted by Ak Bars Bank, which was dedicated to issues of development of small and medium-sized businesses.

Welcoming participants of the event, Pesoshin told them about measures being taken in Tatarstan to support entrepreneurs.

"As you know, the rules for registration of entrepreneurs have changed. As a result, the number of small and medium-sized businesses has increased by 18 per cent in the republic. It is clear that these values are not absolute, as the registration process has its peculiar features. Nevertheless, about 162,000 companies and entrepreneurs have been registered in the republic. Their share in the regional GRP is more than 25 per cent," he said.

Pesoshin also mentioned the Alabuga special economic zone and the territory of advanced development in Naberezhnye Chelny are operating in the republic. He noted that three more cities, including Nizhnekamsk, Zelenodolsk and Chistopol may receive the status of the territory of advanced development soon.  According to him, it is important to find a way to unify preferential taxation programme.
