President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov meets “Hayat” holding managers in Turkey

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with “Hayat” holding managers in Kocaeli (Turkey) on September, 6. Chairman of “Hayat holding” executive board Yahya Kigili, Director - general of “Hayat Kimya” company Avni Kigili, Director - general of “Kastamonu Entegre” Haluk Yildiz and others attended the meeting.
Parties discussed the issues of “Kastamonu Entegre” and “Hayat Kimya” development on the territory of Tatarstan.
We remind that Head of Tatarstan Republic is on one-day working visit in Turkish Republic (September, 6, 2011). Rustam Minnikhanov is accompanied by RT Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, Director of Department for external relations - Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov, plenipotentiary of Tatarstan in Turkish Republic Radik Gimatdinov and Chairman of JSC “SEZ “Alabuga” Directors board Timur Shagivaleev.
“Kastamonu Entegre” and “Hayat Kimya” (“Hayat” holding) are residents of special economic zone “Alabuga” (the Republic of Tatarstan). “Kastamonu Entegre” is the leader in the sphere of forest production in Turkey. The company is in the top ten largest companies in Europe in MDF production.
“Hayat Kimya” is the largest enterprise n Turkey which produces general-purpose and sanitary paper goods and household chemistry.
“We appreciate presence of “Kastamonu Entegre” and “Hayat Kimya” in Tatarstan and are ready to support new projects”, - Rustam Minnikhanov stated. By his words, both companies are rapidly developing and have growth prospects.

“Kastamonu Entegre” company gained the status of resident at a special economic zone “Alabuga” in 2010. The company will be engaged in production of MDF, chipboards and OSB panels faced and not faced with melamine. Volume of output makes 475 000 m³ of MDF panels per year. The resident is an affiliate of Turkish company Kastamonu Integrated Forestry Industry and Trade Inc. – the global leader producing wood-based panels. Investments for project realization make 3,4 bln. roubles.
Design works are finished for now. The resident is on the stage of getting authorization documents to start construction works. The production is to be launched at the beginning of 2013.
Annual turnover of the company makes 550 mln. US dollars (100 mln. dollars go to export of the production to 45 countries all around the world. The company has 7 factories, 4 of them are located in Turkey, 3 – in Eastern Europe (Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina).
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
