Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov opens XVIII international exhibition “Oil. Gas. Petrochemistry”

“Such spheres as petrochemistry and oil production form the basis of Tatarstan economy and its budget. Companies involved in oil production and processing are always main social partners of municipal regions”, - RT Premier Ildar Khalikov stated at official opening of XVIII International exhibition «Oil, gas. Petrochemistry», III International gas-chemical forum «Present and Future of Russian gas-chemistry» and International scientific-practical conference «Increase of oil yield – priority direction of hydrocarbon stocks reproduction».
Exposition opened today in Exhibition centre “Kazanskaya Yarmarka” with participation of more than 250 companies from Russia, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Kazakhstan, Korea, Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Japan.
Ildar Khalikov stressed that for the 18th time exhibitors gathered at the event which has already acquired international status. It has become the place for discussions and exchanging experience in using latest technologies and equipment. For Tatarstan exhibition «Oil, gas. Petrochemistry» is especially urgent - lately the largest enterprises of the industry “Tatneft”, “TAIF”, “Kazanorgsintez” have been started modernization of production and can demonstrate results of positive changes from using unique products and technologies. It enables them staying competitive at European and World markets.
Ildar Khalikov introduced the project JSC “TANECO” (Complex of petrochemical and oil-refining enterprises in Nizhnekamsk) and JSC “Nizhnekamskneftehim” as positive examples of implementing new technologies.
Within the limits of opening ceremony academician Aleksei Kontorovich (Siberian branch of Russian academy of sciences) handed commemorative medal dedicated to 100-anniversary of academician Andrei Trofimuk to Head of RT Government.
President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yury Pustovgarov greeted attenders of the event. By his words, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan are two regions for creating future of the country.
Yury Pustovgarov believes that petrochemistry and oil processing, geology and oil production form a driving force that can move Russian economy to a new level. He suggested as well that by joining forces Tatarstan and Bashkortostan can contribute additional 500 bln. roubles to gross output of the country by 2025.
Later on Ildar Khalikov and his attendants inspected stands of exhibitors JSC “Nizhnekamskneftehim”, “Tatneft”, “Transneft”, “RITEK”, “Bashneft”, “TAIF” and other companies.
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
