Rustam Minnikhanov: Every region should work so that its representatives can become members of national team

The Agreement between RF Ministry of sport, tourism and youth policy and Tatarstan Republic has been signed in Saransk within the frameworks of international forum “Russia – sports country”
The document stipulates issues of granting federal subsidies to Tatarstan Republic for co-financing targeted financial support of sport organizations which are engaged in preparation of sport reserve for national teams of Russian Federation in basic and paralympic kinds of sport. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and RF Minister of sport, tourism and youth policy Vitaly Mutko put signatures in the document.
Similar agreements were signed between Minister of sport, tourism and youth policy of Russia and Rostov, Penza, Ulianovsk regions and the Republic of Mordovia.
Targeted allocation of funds to regions for preparing sportsmen in basic and paralympic kinds of sport is a new government campaign designed to improve quality of sport reserve preparation and control for allocated funds.
By words of Vitaly Mutko RF Government and citizens lay their hopes on successful performance of Russian team at world championships. “In 2010 we accepted the strategy which implies that sport should play a significant role in forming skills of conducting healthy way of life. We realize that it is necessary to put much emphasis on preparation of sportsmen in order to perform well at world championships and Olympic Games. Sport reserve is formed in regions, first of all. Every region we have signed agreement with is the basic in terms of preparing our sportsmen”, - RF Minister of sport, tourism and youth policy said.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
