Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in VII Baikal international economic forum

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov is on working trip in Irkutsk. He has attended the opening of plenary session of VII Baikal international economic forum. The opening ceremony took place in exhibition complex “Sibexpocenter”.
VII Baikal international economic forum is held under the auspices of RF Federation Council with the assistance of RF President and RF Government. Deputies of RF State Duma, members of RF Federation Council, chiefs of 25 RF regions, representative delegations from EU and Asia-Pacific region, representatives of big business and science are taking part in the event.
Problems connected with realization of Strategy on social and economic development of the Far East and Baikal region for the period till 2025 are being discussed at the forum. The Republic of Tatarstan has been many times cited as the example of a region where investment policy is successfully implemented and positive partnership relations are established.
Within the limits of forum Rustam Minnikhanov has visited exhibition of investment projects “Siberia – the land of opportunities, Irkutsk – the supporting point” where he got acquainted with investment projects of SCO member countries and RF regions – Irkutsk and Irkutsk region, Far East and Siberia, Moscow, St.Petersburg and foreign countries.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
