Rustam Minnikhanov holds meetings on issues of development of health care

On October 23, during his working visit to Houston, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met the Head of High School of Healthcare Organization and Management Guzel Ulumbekova to discuss potential areas of cooperation.  

Guzel Ulumbekova presented the research “Strategy of health care of the Republic of Tatarstan until 2025 in the context of USA lessons”. She told about the results of the study of public health and factors influencing public health in the Republic of Tatarstan, Texas, USA, Canada and Turkey.

Moreover, innovative trends of health care development in USA and other countries that contribute to gain in health and increase of efficiency of health care industry, achievements of the republic and priority areas of the Strategy of health care development were presented at the meeting.

Later on the same day, Rustam Minnikhanov met the founder and president of TomoWave Company Alexandr Oraevsky, who has lived in carried out research work in USA for thirty years and who presented two innovative projects, one of which was the technology for cancer detection at early stages using optoacoustic tomography. The technology is being tested at one of medical centers of Indianapolis (USA).

Oraevsky suggested creating a joint enterprise to produce diagnostic equipment using his technology in Tatarstan.
