First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin holds meeting with deceived housing equity holders

On November 3, at his meeting with housing equity holders First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin said that five more pending equity construction projects are planned to be completed until the end of the current year.

Nigmatullin reported that four houses with 853 apartments were put in operation in the republic in 2017 to meet the demands of 509 deceived investors.

He continued that the regional Government is keeping 35 houses of concern under control. Six of them have been commissioned already, but there are cases of a double sale. Installation and construction work is underway at nine construction sites, six buildings are nearly ready and are planned to be completed by the end of the year, he noted.

Focusing on financing issues, the first deputy prime minister reminded about the scheme worked out with the assistance of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, according to which the investor-developer receives a land plot without bidding in case of completion of problem houses.

He emphasized that Tatarstan President has taken the situation with deceived equity holders under his personal control, with weekly inspection of share-equity houses and reception of citizens.

The meeting discussed in more detail the situation of each house, the expected deadlines for commissioning the houses, various ways to attract funding to complete the construction of problematic facilities in particular.
