Rustam Minnikhanov: We are ready to support LUKOIL in all projects realized in Tatarstan

Tatarstan leadership is ready to support LUKOIL company in realization of all projects on the territory of Tatarstan Republic, RT President Rustam Minnikhanov has stated at a meeting with Vagit Alekperov, President of JSC “LUKOIL”.
The event took place at the Kazan Kremlin.
Vagit Alekperov arrived in Kazan to take part in solemn actions dedicated to 20-anniversary of “LUKOIL” company. V.Alekperov is going to take part in opening of the exhibition “Treasures of Moscow Kremlin”, read a lecture at Kazan University and summarize the contest of social and cultural projects of JSC “LUKOIL”.
Addressing President of Tatarstan Vagit Alekperov assured that all expected events would be held in Kazan on the highest level.
Head of LUKOIL emphasized the importance of partnership relations with Tatarstan and JSC “Tatneft” in particular. According to V.Alekperov they discuss various questions of oil industry development and make proposals on federal level.
Vagit Alekperov informed that within 10 years the company is planning to increase production of equivalent fuel from 100 to 180 mln. tons per year. To do this, LUKOIL needs reliable partners such as Tatarstan Republic. “Development of industrial production characteristic of Tatarstan is very important for us”, - Vagit Alekperov said.
He told as well that LUKOIL intends to build up an enterprise for producing screw pumps.
Head of LUKOIL also expressed interest towards Tatarstan scientific potential. “Republican experience will let us use not only foreign developments but domestic ones as well. Thus we are interested in realization of experimental-design projects jointly with JSC “Tatneft”, - Vagit Alekperov stated.
Moreover, he informed about intentions of the company to continue economic activity in Tatarstan and plans for carrying out geological exploration works in republic.
LUKOIL is going to expand network of petrol stations in Tatarstan, Vagit Alekperov said. The initiative was supported by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. “I want LUKOIL to be presented in Kazan”, - Head of republic stated noting that the company has gained reputation as a supplier of high-quality fuel.
By words of Rustam Minnikhanov, several petrol stations should appear in Kazan before Universiade. He entrusted city authorities with finding proper places for the stations.
Upon finishing the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov expressed gratitude to Vagit Alekperov for successful cooperation with LUKOIL company in various sectors.
On 9 June upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin.
In Kazan Sergey Lavrov will take part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers for Foreign Affairs of State-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
