Rustam Minnikhanov visits China High-Tech Fair

On November 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the China High-Tech Fair (CHTF) and had a meeting with Chairman of the Board of the Shenzhen Exhibition Centre Su Yan Wei.

The CHTF is one of the largest exhibition events in South-East Asia. It is held at the Shenzhen Exhibition Centre, covering a total area of 280,000 square meters. In 2016, as many as 3,533 companies and more than 23,000 projects from 90 countries and regions of China were presented at the CHTF. The event was attended by nearly 600,000 people. Among the permanent exhibitors are such well-known companies as Siemens, Motorola, Ericsson, Cisco, Ford, Omron, China Tele-com, China Putian, Lenovo and others.

The thematic sections of the exhibition include information technology, energy saving and environmental protection, new energy, electronics, smart cities, optoelectronics, start-ups and investment zones. Conferences and forums, various events, a fair of human and intellectual resources in the sphere of high technology are held during the exhibition. A wide range of the latest scientific developments, patent inventions, innovative technology and products, new high-tech projects will be presented by leading enterprises and companies from different countries.

After looking around the exhibition, Tatarstan President had a meeting with Chairman of the Board of the Shenzhen Exhibition Centre Su Yang Wei. He thanked Su Yang Wei for the opportunity to meet.

“We are impressed by what we have seen at the exhibition and the exhibition centre in general. In 2019, we will host the Worldskills Championship in Kazan. The construction of a modern exhibition centre to hold the event is underway in Tatarstan. In this regard, we are very interested in the experience of the functioning of your exhibition centre. I think that we need to get better acquainted with its work and cooperate more closely with each other. We are studying the experience of the famous exhibition centers of China, Turkey, the UAE and European countries to use it in the construction and further promotion of the exhibition industry of the Kazan Expo Centre,” Tatarstan President said. They also discussed issues of mutual interest.
