Rustam Minnikhanov opens new medical centre in Kamsky Polyany

An official opening of a new hospital and rehabilitation centre has been held in Kamsky Polyany on October, 7. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Acting Prime Minister Ravil Muratov, RF Deputy Minister of regional development Yury Osintsev attended the ceremony.
Medical centre of Kamsky Polyany comprises a hospital and rehabilitation centre for mentally handicapped people. A new building has been constructed in the context of integrated investment plan meant for development of Kamsky Polyany settlement. 560 mln. roubles have been invested into the project. Most of them was provided by the federal budget.
Earlier, a regional hospital of Kamsky Polyany was located in seven separate buildings. Now, both outpatient and inpatient departments represent one modern building with area of 5400 m². New roentgenologic equipment and ultrasound facilities, dental units and equipment for biochemical and clinical laboratories were purchased for the new centre.
All the working places of physicians and paramedics are provided with computers and access to “electronic line-up” system.
Rehabilitation centre for mentally diseased people is meant for comfortable living and treatment of 400 patients. There is a large amount of special equipment for the patients. 130 villagers have been employed, some of them passed training with a program aimed at easing tension at labor market. Consequently, construction of the centre enabled decreasing unemployment in Kamsky Polyany.
Speaking at the opening ceremony President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said he was glad to open a medical centre in Kamsky Polyany.
R.Minnikhanov reminded that a new building had been constructed due to the decision of Russian Government aimed at support of mono-cities.
RT President expressed gratitude to Chairman of Government Vladimir Putin, First Vice-premier Igor Shuvalov, Ministry of regional development and Vnesheconombank.
Opening of the centre is just the beginning of Kamsky Polyany development, Rustam Minnikhanov stressed. Head of republic granted a minibus Fiat Ducato to the centre and informed on allocation of 20 mln. roubles by Tatarstan government for purchasing necessary equipment.
RF Deputy Minister of regional development Yury Osintsev thanked Tatarstan authorities for proper work fulfilled in a short time.
Finally, Rustam Minnikhanov, Ravil Muratov, Yury Osintsev and Head of Nizhnekamsk region Aidar Metshin cut a symbolic red ribbon and had a look at premises of the centre.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
