Rustam Minnikhanov: We have to activate joint work with ROSNANO

The Republic of Tatarstan and the JSC ROSNANO have to settle on a range of issues to develop cooperation and realization of joint projects. Such statement was made today at a meeting of the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Deputy chairman of JSC ROSNANO Board Andrei Malyshev. The meeting was held in the House of RT Government.
According to the Tatarstan's leader current relationship between Tatarstan and ROSNANO and a set of acute issues have been discussed at the meeting. Rustam Minnikhanov admitted some mistakes Tatarstan made. In particular, interaction of Tatarstan higher educational institutions and enterprises with ROSNANO is not so efficient. At the same time there are several problems which cannot be solved without the company's participation.
Andrei Malyshev in his turn told about potential touchpoints and further cooperation between Tatarstan and ROSNANO. He informed that the company tends to finance implementation of complete projects. In the meantime research and development activities of institutions and research centres could be financed by other sources, particularly various funds. As Andrei Malyshev put it ROSNANO is ready to be an intermediary in relations between Tatarstan research centres and such funds.
Rustam Minnikhanov supported the suggested financing mechanism and asked the Acting Prime Minister Ravil Muratov to organize meetings with funds’ executives with participation of ROSNANO officials.
To develop nanotechnological industry in Tatarstan Andrei Malyshev proposed establishing subsidiaries of functioning nanotechnological companies. Rustam Minnikhanov in his turn suggested creating proper working conditions in the Republic.
The Deputy chairman of JSC ROSNANO Board believes that cooperation of ROSNANO with major vertically - integrated companies may be efficient in fact. He suggested that meetings of ROSNANO officials with top managers of Tatarstan companies are organized to this end. In reply to his suggestions Rustam Minnikhanov proposed that ROSNANO present its ideas at a board session of Tatneftehiminvestholding.
“We have to activate the joint work. I believe nanotechnologies and new products are our future. This sphere is really important for us”, - Rustam Minnikhanov stated.
The RT President asked to protocol the outcome of the meeting in order to define the future joint activities of Tatarstan and ROSNANO.
On 26 March Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a meeting of the Council by the Russian Presidential Envoy in the Volga Federal District dedicated to rural demographic policy held by the Russian Presidential Envoy in the District Igor Komarov in Nizhniy Novgorod with participation of heads of federal ministries concerned, representatives of the Federal Assembly and heads of federal entities of the Volga Federal District. The participants of the meeting discussed such topics as the demographic situation, implementation of federal programmes and the best regional practices, and the results of the meeting will be used for preparing comprehensive solutions of such tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin as preservation of the population, strengthening health, raising prosperity of people and supporting families.
On 24 March, speaking at a briefing on achievements of preventive medicine last year and plans for 2026 held in the Government House of the republic, representatives of Tatarstan Healthcare Ministry said that medical check-ups are proving their effectiveness in preserving the health and lives of residents of the republic.
Thus the regional Healthcare Minister Almir Abashev informed: “Over the past five years, a clear course has been set to ensure that preventative medicine in the country gains momentum. Starting from 2022 the number of people who should have their medical check-ups in this or that year is growing. We are facing a task of covering more than 70 per cent of elderly people with check-ups by 2030.”
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
