Ildar Khalikov: we should take into account the opinion of the disabled while realizing the program “Available environment”

Republican and local authorities should take into consideration opinions of public organizations of the disabled while realizing events stipulated by the program “Available environment”, Acting RT President Ildar Khalikov stated at a meeting dedicated to the program implementation.
The event was held in a House of RT Government with participation of heads of ministries and institutions and municipalities (in format of video conference).
The program “Available environment” assumes creating conditions for comfortable living and transportation of the invalids in public places.
Tatarstan is a pilot region to realize this federal program. This year total federal and republican funding will make 696 mln roubles.
For the moment more than 320 000 disabled people live in Tatarstan.
Acting RT President informed that the primary task is to create comfortable conditions for the disabled in most visited places, - medical and social institutions. Sports and cultural objects should also be taken into consideration.
Ildar Khalikov believes that requirements of the program “Available environment” are to be considered upon current implementation of construction projects. Notably, necessary conditions for the disabled should be created in the Kazan airport being now modernized.
The Tatarstan minister of health care Airat Farrakhov presented main solutions for buildings and streets to make disabled people comfortable.
Ildar Khalikov addressed to chiefs of ministries and municipalities with request to use presented solutions in their spheres and regions upon implementation of the program “Available environment”. He also commissioned the Ministry of labor and social protection to work out a mechanism for controlling fulfillment of requirements on providing “availability” for disabled people at commercial objects.
“From the very beginning we should involve members of public organizations of the invalids in order to take all peculiarities into consideration in full”, Ildar Khalikov addressed attendees of the meeting.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
