Rustam Minnikhanov: results of Dinamo-Kazan is a great achievement for Tatarstan

Due to achievements of the woman's club Dinamo-Kazan the number of people playing volleyball is constantly growing, the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated at a meeting with members of woman's volleyball club Dinamo-Kazan – champions of Russia 2010-2011.
Chairman of RT State Council, Chief of the republican volleyball federation Farid Mukhametshin, Chief of the interiors Ministry on RT Asgat Safarov, Minister of youth affairs, sport and tourism Rafis Burganov, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, club’s top management, coaches, players of woman's volleyball club Dinamo-Kazan and other officials took part in honouring champions of Russia and holders of the Cup.
“We have a good tradition to honour the leading teams of the republic at the Kazan Kremlin. Dinamo-Kazan has achieved great results winning the Championship of Russia and the Cup. It is an enormous success for our republic, the sports country of Russia”, Rustam Minnikhanov highlighted.
The number of people playing volleyball in republic now reaches 42 000. “Due to your achievements this number is growing”, Rustam Minnikhanov addressed volleyball players and thanked them for such devotion to their work.
The republican leader expressed special gratitude to sponsors for support rendered to the team. “We will continue supporting the club from our part. We will do our best in order your achievements glorify our republic and country”, Rustam Minnikhanov promised.
He granted state awards and letters of thanks of the Tatarstan President to members and top management of the club. Notably, medals “for valorous work” were granted to the chief coach Rishat Gilyazutdinov, leader of Dinamo-Kazan Maria Borisenko, players Ekaterina Gamova, Ekaterina Ulanova, Regina Moroz. Letters of thanks of the RT President were handed to top management, sponsors and players of the club.
“Kazan Dinamo has successfully opened the season. We reached the final of the Russian Cup and will do our best to keep the highest status onwards”, Maria Borisenko promised.
Finally, a golden medal of the national Championship and souvenirs were granted to Rustam Minnikhanov.
On 9 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers to the monument “The victorious soldier” dedicated to the celebrations of the Day of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WW II) 1941-1945 and held at Arsk cemetery in Kazan.
On 8 May, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported that capital overhaul of social facilities is in full swing in the republic with 170 educational facilities having been included into regional and federal programmes.
On 4 May at a briefing held in the Tatarstan Government House it was told that currently there are 92 combat veterans, the last witnesses of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) of 1941-1945, living in the republic. The briefing also informed about veterans’ support measures and how the republic is planning to celebrate the Victory Day on 9 May.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva told that names of 353 Heroes of the Soviet Union from Tatarstan “ are immortalized in street names, on memorials, in monuments and squares and, of course, in our memory”. “The Victory Day is the day of memory, mourning and joy. It is the event which today should be clearly understandable to all young people and younger generation of Tatarstan,” she said.
