Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in laying the foundation stone of the plant on production of animal protein OOO «SARIA Bio-Industries Volga»

A solemn ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the plant on production of animal protein OOO «SARIA Bio-Industries Volga» took place in special economic zone Alabuga (Elabuga district).

Attendees at the event were the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, First deputy director-general of JSC “Special economic zones” Viktor Zheleztsov, Head of Elabuga municipal district Gennady Emelianov, Director-general of SEZ Alabuga Timur Shagivaleev and founder of the Rethmann company Norbert Rethmann.

OOO «SARIA Bio-Industries Volga» is an enterprise on collection and processing material of animal origin meant for getting two main products – meat-and-bone flour and animal fat. The expected production capacity is 115 thousand tons of stuff per year.

“We will render maximum support to this project since it plays an important role for republic. It will favour using our livestock resources in full”, Rustam Minnikhanov stated at the ceremony.
RT President marked SEZ Alabuga is intensively developing, with 19 companies located here for the moment.

Norbert Rethmann informed investments of OOO «SARIA Bio-Industries Volga» will make 34 mln Euro. The animal stuff will be processed using advanced European technologies. The enterprise is to be commissioned by the end of 2012. The animal material will be collected within a radius of 1000 km, the company officials inform.

Activity of such enterprises will enable improving ecological situation and decrease deficiency for animal protein.

A meeting on issues of further development and construction of objects on the territory of special economic zone Alabuga was held afterwards at administrative business centre of SEZ Alabuga.

In the context of working trip to Elabuga district Rustam Minnikhanov had a look at construction of a house for top managers of SEZ Alabuga (Elabuga town).
