Tatarstan President takes part in celebrations dedicated to Turkmenistan independence

The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in celebrations on the occasion of 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan independence in Ashkhabad city. Members of Tatarstan delegation joined head of the Republic.
In the morning Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan Aleksandr Blokhin laid flowers to the monument of Turkmenistan Independence. Afterwards Tatarstan delegates watched a festive parade on the occasion of 20th anniversary of the country.
Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated President of Turkmenistan and its citizens on 20th anniversary of state independence and said he was impressed by the festival.
By words of Rustam Minnikhanov relationships between Turkmenistan and Russia are actively developing. “Our major companies are functioning here and Turkmen students, in their turn, are studying at our universities”, RT President said.
Rustam Minnikhanov also told about topics to be discussed at a forthcoming meeting with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov.
“First of all, I would like to thank the President for attitude his country expresses towards Tatars and discuss cooperation of automotive company KAMAZ, oil company Tatneft and our shipbuilding company”, the Tatarstan President stated. Moreover, issues of cooperation in the sphere of education, cultural contacts and development of sport are to be debated with the Head of Turkmenistan.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
