Rustam Minnikhanov met with Chief of Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has met with an academician of the Russian academy of sciences, research supervisor of the A.A. Trofimuk Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics (the Siberian branch of Russian academy of sciences) Aleksey Kontorovich.
The meeting was held at the RT Government House with participation of Aide to RT President Rinat Sabirov, chiefs of Tatarstan petrochemical enterprises.
Aleksey Kontorovich is a world-known specialist in the sphere of petroleum and gas geology, organic chemistry and mathematical geology. He made a considerable contribution in development of the theory of oil generation, theory and methods of quantitative forecast of oil-and-gas content, search and exploration works, and economy of oil and gas complex.
At the meeting held after the session of JSC “Tatneftehiminvetsholding” Board with participation of A. Kontorovich Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the academician for the delivered lecture and marked that appreciation of such a distinguished scientist is important for Republic. By words of Tatarstan President scientific research of Aleksey Kontorovich will be useful for oil-gas-chemical sector of Republic.
Prospects of the industry in Russia and at large were also discussed at the meeting.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
