Ildar Khalikov: Development of Tatarstan major projects is impossible without well-functioning logistics system

We need a well-functioning logistics infrastructure to realize major industrial projects in Tatarstan Republic successfully, RT Premier Ildar Khalikov said opening the international scientific-practical conference «Modern info technologies in transport logistics systems».
In the context of the event participants from various Russian regions, Germany, USA, Canada, Switzerland and Ukraine will discuss issues of organization and management of transport networks, increase of their safety and regional development of transport-logistics networks.
Addressing participants of the conference RT Premier Ildar Khalikov thanked organizers highlighting that the event has the applied nature. Head of RT Government believes logistics is a great reserve for the country’s development.
By words of Ildar Khalikov Tatarstan puts much emphasis on logistics in connection with development of Kazan transport system in the context of preparation for Universiade. The PM reminded about specific requirements for transportations during World student games. “Transport logistics of Universiade 2013 comprises 155 objects including 14 multi-level junctions, a lot of crossings and road elements”, Head of Tatarstan Government marked.
Development of logistics infrastructure of retail networks is an important issue as well. He reminded that three big logistics complexes have already been created in Tatarstan for the last few years, notably Q-Park, “Biek-tau”, “Konstantinovsky”.
Currently several federal projects are being implemented in Republic, such as Sviyazhsk multi-modal logistics centre. According to Ildar Khalikov by 2030 the volume of processed cargo is expected to make 30 mln tons, and total funding of the project is 18,3 bln roubles. “Such complex supports the republican economy and industry being a global independent business that will render services to other Russian regions and our foreign partners”, Ildar Khalikov stated.
According to Tatarstan PM IT solutions are more often used in logistics. For example, GLONASS/GPS systems are used in official cars and school buses. “Present-day and future task is to unite basic elements of logistics infrastructure in a unified big republican network that will let exercising control and make decisions quickly”, Ildar Khalikov marked.
Upon finishing his speech Head of Tatarstan Government wished attendees of the conference efficient work.
On 26 March Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a meeting of the Council by the Russian Presidential Envoy in the Volga Federal District dedicated to rural demographic policy held by the Russian Presidential Envoy in the District Igor Komarov in Nizhniy Novgorod with participation of heads of federal ministries concerned, representatives of the Federal Assembly and heads of federal entities of the Volga Federal District. The participants of the meeting discussed such topics as the demographic situation, implementation of federal programmes and the best regional practices, and the results of the meeting will be used for preparing comprehensive solutions of such tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin as preservation of the population, strengthening health, raising prosperity of people and supporting families.
On 24 March, speaking at a briefing on achievements of preventive medicine last year and plans for 2026 held in the Government House of the republic, representatives of Tatarstan Healthcare Ministry said that medical check-ups are proving their effectiveness in preserving the health and lives of residents of the republic.
Thus the regional Healthcare Minister Almir Abashev informed: “Over the past five years, a clear course has been set to ensure that preventative medicine in the country gains momentum. Starting from 2022 the number of people who should have their medical check-ups in this or that year is growing. We are facing a task of covering more than 70 per cent of elderly people with check-ups by 2030.”
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
