State-of-the-art plastic manufacturing plant launched in Kazan

Official opening of new plant on producing flexible package using nano-technologies “Danaflex-nano” took place in Kazan on November 11. Chairman of JSC “Rosnano” Board Anatoly Chubais and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the event.
High-resistant plastic film and flexible packing materials for food stuff, household chemicals and animal forage with use of nano-composite materials are to be produced at the enterprise.
According to the given information, the estimated capacity of the plant is 46 thousand tons of film and package per year. Next year the gain from sales is expected to make 3,6 bln roubles and more than 6 bln roubles in 2015.
320 jobs have already been created at the plant. Raw materials of Tatarstan petrochemical enterprises will be used in manufacturing process. The project “Danaflex-nano” is being realized with participation of JSC “Rosnano”, its total value makes 2,45 bln roubles. 51% of nominal capital belongs to ZAO “Danaflex-nano” and 49 % to “Rosnano”.
President of ZAO “Danaflex” Airat Bashyrov presented machines for film production to the guests. By his words, new film is 25 % cheaper than aluminium foil used for the same purposes.
The project was launched 2 years ago and now we see a modern enterprise, Rustam Minnikhanov marked. The President thanked Anatoly Chubais for supporting the project and added that nanotechnologies may be also used in other spheres, such as the production of aircraft details using composite materials.
“Danaflex-nano” is considered to be the best in the world from technological point of view, Anatoly Chubais in his turn said. “I am glad we managed to realize our intentions. We always enjoy working with Tatarstan as we know that all promises will be fulfilled”, Anatoly Chubais stated noting high professional skills of “Danaflex” managers.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
