Dmitry Medvedev suggests prolonging the program on resettling citizens from dilapidated houses being realized by the Fund of assistance to development of housing and communal services. “It turned out to be a good working mechanism, the Russian President marked. He reminded that the program had already been prolonged twice.

Besides Mr Medvedev considers prolonging work of the Fund till the end of 2015 is reasonable as well. Having a land lot is not enough to ensure comfortable life, since they need to build a house and install communications, Head of the state stressed. One way authorities may help is formation of cooperatives or associations, subsidizing interest rates or via some other tools.

Dmitry Medvedev urged members of State Duma to vote for the bill on creating housing cooperatives based on unification of people related to one category. He mentioned experience of creating cooperatives of young scientists.
