Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin: Moscow and Tatarstan are tied by strong and warm business and friendly relationships

Today half a million Tatars live in Moscow. They successfully work in various economic sectors. Such statement was made by Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin at official opening ceremony of Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow.
The event took place in Moscow international House of music (Kosmodemyanskaya naberezhnaya, 52) with participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, chiefs of several ministries and departments of Tatarstan and Moscow Government, top managers of RT major enterprises, veterans of Great Patriotic War homefront workers and representatives of Moscow arts intelligentsia.
Expositions “The world reads Tukay” representing compositions created on the 125th anniversary of the Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay, “Tukay in final arts”, exhibition of craftwork items and photo exhibition about Tatarstan Republic were displayed on the first floor of Moscow international House of music.
Welcoming attendees Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin marked Moscow and Tatarstan are tied by strong and warm business and friendly relationships which have become stronger during the last year. By his words Moscow is the largest consumer of products produced in Tatarstan.
“This year we are purchasing thousands of engineering machinery units, enormous volume of petrochemical production. Cooperation in social sector is also established”, he said. Moreover, wide experience of Tatarstan in management sphere is being currently practiced on a wide scale by Moscow Government. Sergey Sobyanin addressed words of gratitude to the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov for effective, mutually beneficial cooperation.
Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in his turn thanked Moscovites and metropolitan authorities for warm reception of Tatarstan delegation within the confines of Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow. He reminded last year goods turnover between two regions made 40 bln roubles, this year – 45 bln roubles. Rustam Minnikhanov wished Mayor of Moscow success in his work and gifted a Far Eastern leopard to the Moscow zoo.
The singer Alsu and Renat Ibragimov opened gala-concert on the occasion of Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow. RT masters of art performed before the guests afterwards.

Exhibition “Decorative and applied arts of the Kazan Tatars” from the Fund of RT National museum opens in the context of Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow (November 24-27, 2011).
A book fair “The world reads Tukay”, photo exhibition about Tatarstan Republic and exhibition of craftwork items will be opened in Moscow international House of music.
Presentation of Kazan international festival of Muslim cinema with demonstration of the best feature, documentary, and animation films will be held in Cinema House on November 25.
Two significant events will be held under the guidance of Lyudmila Ryumina in Moscow folk cultural centre, – exhibition of RT craftwork items, and concert of RT State ensemble of song and dance.
A creative meeting of writers and young poets of Tatarstan and Moscow and exhibition “The world reads Tukay” are planned to be held in Kuntsevo library.
Moscovites will also see performances “Dyadyushkin son” (Uncle's Dream) of Kazan academic Russian drama theatre named after V.Kachalov and “Zenger shel” (Blue shawl) of Tatar state academic theatre named after Galiaskar Kamal on the stage of the Maly theatre.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
