Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Secretary General of World organization on reciting Koran of World Islamic league by Abdulla ibn Ali Basfar

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Secretary General of World organization on reciting Koran of World Islamic league by Abdulla ibn Ali Basfar and board Chairman of Council of Kuwait organization on assisting Islamic sciences sheikh Hamad Ahmad As-Sinan.
The meeting was held in RT Government House with participation of Chief of Department on interaction with religious associations at RT President Marat Gatin, rector of the Russian Islamic institute Rafik Mukhametshin.
The parties discussed issues of interaction, and creation of favorable conditions for development of religious education in modern society.
We remind guests arrived in Tatarstan with three-day visit (November 23-25, 2011). One purpose of the visit is participation in VIII International contest of Koran reciters that was held on November 24 in tatar state philharmonics named after Gabdulla Tukay.
Abdulla ibn Ali Basfar and sheikh Hamad Ahmad As-Sinan visited the Russian Islamic institute, met with students of men’s department of the Koran Hafiz's Training Center named after Usman ibn Affan, students of women’s department named after Sayida Rukayi and fosters of Koran study group for the blind named after Umm-Maktuma (mosque “Suleiman”, Kazan).
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
