Rustam Minnikhanov: We should rely on our youth in terms of development of our Republic

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the exhibition of projects at the Republican youth forum on November 28.

The Republican youth forum is held from May 16 to November 30 in three stages. Young people aged 16-30, pupils and students participate in the forum. 849 bids for participation were received at the first remote stage. Authors presented various projects in social, economic, cultural, and sports spheres. By results of expert assessment 75 projects will take part in the final of Republican youth forum – 2011.

Final events of the forum are held on October 20 - November 30 and comprise meetings of projects’ authors with members of organization committee and expert councils - famous workers of scientific, cultural, social and political spheres of Tatarstan.

Today exhibition of final projects was presented in Kazan IT-park. Head of Republic Rustam Minnikhanov looked over the exposition and talked to authors of the projects. Tatarstan President was interested in many projects and addressed relevant ministries and department with requirement to consider opportunity of their realization.

Rustam Minnikhanov also spoke to participants of X forum of rural youth that was held in IT-park as well. Participants expressed opinion regarding the importance of assisting development of youth entrepreneurship in the country. Rustam Minnikhanov supported the idea saying that in order to increase business activity in the country we need young active people and examples of successful business.

Head of Republic suggested organizing a working group for solving concrete problems connected with development of entrepreneurship in the country. He also asked Head of Investment development agency Lenar Yakupov and representatives of Ministry of agriculture and foodstuff to meet members of the working group personally once a week.

Rustam Minnikhanov granted awards to authors of projects-winners of Republican youth forum – 2011.

Tatarstan President marked good prospects of the forum. “Such a forma is really interesting as we can meet the youth and get to know what is happening in your environment. We should rely on you, any innovations and modernization can be realized only with your participation. Tatarstan future is in your hands”, Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the audience.

Tatarstan President believes projects can be really useful and authorities should support such undertakings of the youth.
