Tatarstan President: Chistopol town should become a touristic centre

On November 30 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov was on a working trip in Chistopol town. He took part in occupation of a house built for Chistopol residents living in a dilapidated housing, opened new town banya (bathhouse), and looked over the garden park being currently reconstructed.
Later on Rustam Minnikhanov met with local activists in a cultural centre. He shared his impressions of what he had seen during the day in Chistopol.
The president believes it is necessary to create conditions for employment of Chistopol young people in their native town. Projects being realized in Republic will provide new jobs and make the town more attractive.
“One will hardly find a town with such geography and nature. Chistopol should become a kind of touristic centre. There are a lot of interesting things here. We have to involve republican and federal programs. We should focus our attention on such towns as Chistopol and Elabuga”, Rustam Minnikhanov highlighted. By the way there are whole quarters representing merchant buildings of the 18-19th centuries in Chistopol. Every mansion is a unique architectural ensemble.
The President told about social and economic situation in the Republic, projects and social programs being implemented in Tatarstan.
Head of Chistopol region Ildus Akhmetzyanov addressed President of the Republic with words of gratitude for the rendered support.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
