Tatarstan President inspects restoration works at Kazan eparchial department

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has visited complex of buildings of Kazan eparchial department – former religious school (Kazan, K.Marx/Mislavskogo str 9/15). He inspected restoration works being implemented at the object, looked over repaired premises, and assessed quality of works and used building materials.
We remind complex of buildings of former religious school was built in 70s of the XVIII century. Many famous religious figures studied here. The school was closed in 1918 when the church was separated from the state. When the repair-restoration works are completed Kazan eparchial department will be located here.
Rustam Minnikhanov was accompanied by the Chief of Kazan eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church, archbishop of Kazan and Tatarstan Anastasy, Chief of RT President Staff Yury Kamaltynov, Minister of construction, architecture, housing and communal services Irek Faizullin, Head of Kazan executive committee Aleksey Pesoshin, Head of RT President Department on interaction with religious organizations Marat Gatin.
By words of archbishop of Kazan and Tatarstan Anastasy the historical object belonged to Kazan eparchy, earlier it was a religious school. Kazan religious seminary moved there later on. In Soviet times the building was given up for accommodation, shared apartments. Now all residents have settled in comfortable flats and the building was restores under the auspices of Tatarstan Government and personally RT President Rustam Minnikhanov.
According to archbishop of Kazan and Tatarstan Anastasy Kazan eparchial department will move here when the repair is finished. Besides, divisions engaged in social issues, charity, missionary activities, youth movement will be located here.

On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
