Rustam Minnikhanov meets with President of Austria and Austrian businessmen

On December 7 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with President of Austria Heinz Fisher within the framework of working visit to Austrian Republic.
The meeting with Heinz Fisher was held in official residence of the Austrian President – Hofburg. The parties agreed on visit of official delegation of Tyrol state to Tatarstan Republic in June 2012.
Later on Rustam Minnikhanov met with President of National Austrian Olympic Committee, Director-general of “Austrian lotteries” firm Karl Stoss in the Austrian Economic Chamber.
Karl Stoss invited Rustam Minnikhanov to attend official actions dated to opening of winter junior Olympic Games on January 13-22, 2012 in Innsbruck. Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Karl Stoss for invitation and said Tatarstan sportsmen and volunteers would take part in the event.
Karl Stoss also told about activity of his company “Austrian lotteries”, the second taxpayer in Austria. According to K. Stoss Tatarstan is considered to be a perspective region for development of lottery business.
Rustam Minnikhanov also met with representatives of ten Austrian companies led by the Austrian Economic Chamber Christoph Leitel.
In the course of negotiations Christoph Leitel marked Austrian businessmen see Russia as a reliable partner and wide opportunities for investment projects. According to the Head of Economic Chamber Tatarstan is known in Austria as one of the most economically developed regions in Russia.
Rustam Minnikhanov said the visit of Austrian President to Tatarstan in May 2011 gave impetus to consolidation of relationships between Austria and Tatarstan. Perspective areas for cooperation are petrochemistry, engineering, construction, medicine, culture and IT.
“In June 2012 official delegation of Tyrol is going to visit Tatarstan , and we hope it will be the next step for closer relations between two countries. We are eager to activate cooperation”, Rustam Minnikhanov stated.
Representatives of all ten companies briefly told about activity of their companies. Rustam Minnikhanov in his turn addressed relevant ministries to consider opportunities for cooperation.
On 24 April, upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Defense Minister of China Dong Jun was welcomed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, representatives of the General Consulate of China in Kazan and other officials
On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
