Tatarstan President lays flowers at the monument to Polish Tatars in Gdansk (Poland)

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov is on a working trip in Gdansk (Poland).
Director of Department for external relations- Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov, Chief of RT investment development agency Linar Yakupov, Director-general of ZAO “Innovative production technopark “Idea” Sergey Yushko are on Tatarstan delegation.
We remind Rustam Minnikhanov arrived to Gdansk from Vienna on December 6.
In the morning Head of Tatarstan laid flowers at the monument to Polish Tatars who fought in the Battle of Grunwald..
Rustam Minnikhanov also visited Tatar people’s centre of culture named after Leon Krychinsky in Gdansk.
Tatarstan President is going to visit Gdansk Science&Technology Park and meet with Marshal (Governor) of Pomeranian Voivodeship Mieczyslaw Struk.

Tatar people’s centre of culture was opened in Gdansk by initiative of The Union of Polish Tatars in 1991 under the auspices of Pomeranian Voivodeship. For this purpose authorities assigned a mansion in a picturesque old park in the centre of the city.
The centre was named after an outstanding writer, scientist, public figure Leon Krychinsky who died in 1939 at the hand of Hitlerites. The office of The Union of Polish Tatars and a gorgeous museum of Tatars settlement history are now located in the building.
A hotel for 40 places is also situated here. Moreover, a café - tearoom of Tatar cuisine opened on March 24, 2007. It was given a name of Tatarstan capital - “Kazan” after consulting leadership of Tatar World Congress.
Chairman of the centre of Polish Tatars named after Leon Krychinsky in Gdansk is Jerzy Szahuniewicz. Major public events of Tatar diaspora are organized by the centre. Tatarstan official delegation visited Gdansk for the first time in 2006.
On 20 December, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and House Utilities Sector of the republic Damir Shaydullin informed that huge work in capital overhaul of 713 social and cultural facilities have been completed in the republic with the total cost of work of 15bn rubles.
On 20 December, in his address on the occasion of the Russian Security Bodies Officers Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated employees and old stagers of the service with their professional holiday and wrote: “
Throughout the history of our state, security agencies have stood guard over national interests of Russia and protected the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. Your high professionalism, courage and dedication to duty are a reliable shield against external and internal threats.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
