Tatarstan President reviews football stadium for 44 thousand places in Gdansk

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has reviewed a football stadium for 44 thousand places in Gdansk (the Republic of Poland).

We remind Tatarstan delegation led by Rustam Minnikhanov is in Poland with a two-day working visit.

Construction of the object was started in 2008 and finished in the middle of 2011. Stadium “Euro-2012” (commercial name - «PGE Arena Gdansk») was officially opened in August 2011. It was built specially for the football championship of Europe 2012 that will take place in Poland in Ukraine.

The stadium was performed in the style of amber extracted by the Baltic Sea. It has the area of 45 thousand m². There is a VIP stands for 1500 spectators, 50 extra places for the disabled, a hotel, parking and a path for roller skating on the territory of the stadium.

Rustam Minnikhanov reviewed arena, premises for sportsmen, for TV broadcasting. He reminded a football stadium for 45 thousand places is being currently constructed in Kazan. The object is meant to be used in the context of Universiade-2013 and matches за World football championship-2018.

Guests and host party discussed further maintenance of big sport buildings and the way of management for sport objects. In particular, Gdansk stadium is being managed by the company which won the tender.
