Today deputies of Council of Almetievsk municipality and town council have accepted resignation of region’s head Rishat Abubakirov and laid performance of obligations of the head on chief of executive committee of the region Mazit Salikhov. RT President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a joint session of regional and town councils.
Rishat Abubakirov, having occupied post of head of Almetievsk region since year 2001 was elected to State Duma of the sixth convocation. In this connection today at the session the deputies voted for resignation of R. Abubakirov from the post of head of region and town. The deputies awarded Rishat Abubakirov a title of honored citizen of Almetievsk.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov addressing the session participants thanked all residents of town and region for active turnout in the past elections and rendered support.
Head of the republic mentioned R. Abubakirov was one of the best managers in Tatarstan. «He successfully would found contacts with «Tatneft» likewise, and with many other chiefs. I think that his being in State Duma will bring a lot of good for Tatarstan», - Rustam Minnikhanov stated.
In honor of acknowledging his merits before the republic RT President handed Rishat Abubakirov a medal «For Valorous Labor».
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed it is necessary to preserve succession of power in the region. «We believe that we need to keep that way which had been chosen», - said President of Tatarstan. In opinion of R. Minnikhanov, the present head of executive committee of Almetievsk region will successfully continue the way of former one. Performance of obligations of region’s head has been entrusted on Mazit Salikhov.
Mazit Khazipovich Salikhov was born on October 8, 1965, in a village Tatarskaya Ikshurma, Sabinsky region, Tatar АSSR. Graduated from Kazan engineer-building institute (KEBI) (1990) major in «Automobile roads», qualification: engineer-builder.

1983-1990 – student of KEBI, Kazan
1990-1998 - road master, foreman of road site № 2 Aznakaevsk department of auto-roads of «Tatneft» association.
1998-2005 – Chief engineer, Chief of Almetievsk department of auto-roads of affiliate ООО «Tatneftedor».
In year 2005 graduated from Almetievsk state oil institute.
From July 4, 2005, to December 31, 2005 – First deputy of head of administration of Almetievsk region and town Almetievsk.
From January, 2006, to December 7, 2010 - Chief of executive committee of municipal formation «Town Almetievsk».
From December, 2010 - Chief of executive committee of Almetievsk municipal region.

On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
