Tatarstan President congratulates Chief of Department of Federal service for control over the circulation of narcotics on RT Fayaz Shabaev

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Chief of Department of Federal service for control over the circulation of narcotics on RT Fayaz Shabaev on awarding military rank lieutenant-general of Police.

Head of Republic marked under the director of Fayaz Shabaev work of Department of Federal service for control over the circulation of narcotics on RT was well-organized and certain results of the institution activity are observed. Moreover, Fayaz Shabaev enjoys god reputation in Republic, Rustam Minnikhanov added.

Fayaz Shabaev thanked republican leader for support and understanding.

Shabaev Fayaz Bayanovich was born in 1966 in Agryz town, TASSR, in the family of officer of the interior Ministry. After graduation from Omsk higher militia school in 1987 started working as an authorized operative at interregional militia division on criminal investigation in the sphere of combating drugs at Kazan Department of the interior.

In 1990 he became Head of the division, later on - Head of criminal investigation Division at Kazan Department of the interior; used to be the Head of criminal militia service, Head of Soviet Regional Department of the interior.

At the age of 37 Fayaz Shabaev was assigned to the post of Head of Kazan Department of the interior. He used to visit Chechen Republic several times for imposing constitutional order.

2006- 2009 – Deputy chief of Main Directorate of the Russian interior ministry in Far Eastern federal region on economic security.

2009 – Head of Department of Federal service for control over the circulation of narcotics on Chuvash Republic

On 19.11.2009 Fayaz Shabaev was awarded the rank of lieutenant-general of Police.

By the Decree of Russian President № 1460 dated as of 22.11.2010 was assigned to the post of Chief of Department of Federal service for control over the circulation of narcotics on RT.

In 1993 Fayaz Shabaev was granted a medal “For distinguished service on protection of public order” for high professional skills; in 2003 – medal of Order “Of Merit for the Motherland” of the II degree, and multiple departmental awards later on.

Married, with two sons.
