According to the minister for five years 630 mln roubles have been allocated for program realization from the republican budget. Besides, 100 mln extra-budgetary funds were obtained. For the period of program realization grants were awarded to 2 000 people, - students, postgraduates, higher-education teaching personnel, young scientists. Main grantees (65%) are young people under 35.
In 2011 grant winners went to study at universities of 15 countries, the most popular are Germany, Great Britain, USA. Half of grantees are studying by natural-scientific majors.
Albert Gilmutdinov also noted key problems emerging in the process of program realization. In particular, incomplete correspondence of areas within the confines of “Algarysh” to those of economic development, and difficulties connected with employment of grantees.
He reminded as well about contract commitments of the graduates. In particular, after completion of the studies a graduate has to come back to native Republic and work here for three years.
The minister also called priority areas for next year – training of teachers, personnel for Universiade 2013 in the sphere of sport and tourism, and “breakthrough” areas (high-tech). The new one is “project groups” (HR for certain innovative projects in RT). Thus, training of personnel for certain high-tech projects being at the stage of development will be possible in the context of the program, Albert Gilmutdinov explained.
Finally Albert Gilmutdinov informed a federal program “Global education for Russian citizens” meant for the period till 2025 is being developed in Russia, noting that it is similar to Algarysh for 90 %.
