President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov today has finished his two day working trip to Islamic Republic of Iran. Within a framework of the visit head of Tatarstan held meetings with leaders of Iran and visited number of objects. Tatarstan delegation consisted of Department’s director of external relations to RT President – aide to President of Tatarstan Iskander Muflikhanov, chief of Agency for Investment development of Tatarstan Linar Yakupov, director general of JSC "Tatneftekhiminvest-holding" Rafinat Yarullin, first vice general director JSC "Tatneft" Nail Maganov, president of RT Academy of science Akhmet Mazgarov.
Rustam Minnikhanov got familiarized with the work of energy techno-park «Pars» and attended gas-processing plant under construction in a town Assaluje.
In Tehran Rustam Minnikhanov acquainted with the activity of Center on innovations and technological cooperation under Administration of Iran President, met with governor of province Eastern Azerbaijan and minister of foreign affairs of Islamic republic.
Tatarstan delegation was received by head of the organization Rostam Gosemi at the oil ministry. Signing a Memorandum on understanding between National Iran oil company and JSC Tatnfetekhiminvest-holding envisaging cooperation in part of assimilating Zageh deposit at the presence of Rustam Minnikhanov and Rostam Gosemi took place.
Members of Tatarstan delegation acquainted also with researches of Iran in the field of oil extraction and processing in Research institute of oil industry. The guests from Tatarstan saw the pilot installations on production of nano-materials for needs of oil industry and processing natural gas into liquid fuel, presentation of number of new technologies developed jointly with Russian and Tatarstan scientists was held.
At the end of his visit Rustam Minnikhanov met with President of Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmud Ahmadinejad.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
