Ildar Khalikov: the Ministry of justice helps republican legislation base stay up-to-date

RT Ministry of justice plays an important coordinating role in the republican executive power system, Acting RT President and PM Ildar Khalikov stated at a final collegium of the Ministry of justice on January,12.
Head of the ministry Midkhat Kurmanov made the key report on the ministry’s results for 2011. In particular, he informed the plan of legislative activity of the RT Cabinet has been fulfilled by the institution again. RT Cabinet introduced 14 laws for consideration to deputies of RT State Council.
The ministry of justice has performed a large amount of work on registering municipal regulatory legal acts issued in 2006-2011, and rendering legal aid to republican municipalities.
The staff of the ministry took part in development of 2000 legal acts of local self-government, implemented legal assessment of more than 1500 drafts. The ministry is in charge of control over realization of a long-term target program on legal awareness of the public and rendering legal aid to RT citizens in 2011-2013. Reception and consulting services are being provided for citizens within the confines of free legal aid. Video reception of citizens was put into practice in 2011.
Support of work of Justice of the Peace is an important activity of the justice ministry. By words of Midkhat Kurmanov, due to concern of Tatarstan President and RT Cabinet problems of financial and administrative support of work of Justice of the Peace were solved more efficiently in 2011.
Midkhat Kurmanov suggested organizing an official publication of Tatarstan regulatory legal acts on a special web-site instead of traditional print media. Head of RT Government Ildar Khalikov supported the idea and reminded that in 2011 it was practiced for the first time on a federal level, and now it can be implemented in regions.
Commenting on the results of Ministry of justice for 2011 Ildar Khalikov noted all the tasks set before the institutions have been successfully fulfilled. The PM believes legal education plays an important role in public life. He announced a need for taking efficient measures on implementing the program of legal awareness of the public and rendering legal aid to citizens.
Ildar Khalikov proposed to augment efforts on financial and administrative support of work of Justice of the Peace and said republican leadership is going to continue working in this sphere.
Finally the PM reminded 2012 is marked by 20th anniversary of the RT Constitution.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.
