Rustam Minnikhanov: It is necessary to engage in propaganda of quality food

The Department of Federal service on supervision in the sphere of protection of consumer rights and human well-being in the Republic of Tatarstan has generally coped with a fixed task in 2011, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated at a year –end collegium of the institution.

The panel session of RT Department of Federal service on supervision in the sphere of protection of consumer rights and human well-being was held in NCC Kazan with participation of chief federal inspector on RT Rustam Idrisov, Acting PM of RT Ravil Muratov, RT Minister of health care Airat Farrakhov, chief physician of the “Centre of hygiene and epidemiology in RT” Vasil Ziatdinov.

Head of Department of Federal service on supervision in the sphere of protection of consumer rights and human well-being on RT Marina Patyashina was a key speaker at the event.

RT President reminded the main task of the institution is to ensure normal life activity of the republican population. In general, the department’s work was rather stable, with positive dynamics marked in various spheres. By the way, there are more ambitious tasks set before the Department of Federal service on supervision in the sphere of protection of consumer rights and human well-being on RT within the confines of preparation for holding summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.

By words of Rustam Minnikhanov there has never been such serious events held in Republic. A number of international events and test competitions are to be held prior to 2013.

Thus, RT President focused on safety ensuring at work places, observance of regulations and working conditions, and early detection of professional diseases.

Tatarstan President noted work of the institution in terms of ensuring quality control and safety of primary products for making baby and dietary food.

Rustam Minnikhanov believes today high-quality food, use of fresh and quality products should be popularized. A special site – agro-industrial park is being built in Republic for people to buy products of local manufacturers.

RT President also assured serious work on providing high-quality drinking water for residents of all republican regions would be continued. As for use of bottled water by population, Department of Federal service on supervision in the sphere of protection of consumer rights and human well-being on RT has to provide tight control, Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted as well the work on recycling solid domestic wastes (SDW) and ecological maintenance of SDW sites will be continued in Tatarstan. In this matter joint activity of Ministry of ecology and natural resources and Department of Federal service on supervision in the sphere of protection of consumer rights and human well-being on RT should be organized.

Besides, Rustam Minnikhanov urged to brisk up the work on preparation of summer country camps for receiving children in the period of summer school holidays.

Finally, RT President thanked employees of the institution for good work and granted several letters of gratitude.
