Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan and Lodz Voivodeship should find applied joint projects

The Republic of Tatarstan and Lodz Voivodeship (Poland) should develop cooperation and realize applied joint projects in business, culture and education spheres. Such opinion was expressed by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at a meeting with delegation of Lodz Voivodeship headed by Lodz Voivode Mrs Yolanta Helminska.
The event took place in the Kazan Kremlin with participation of Director of Department for external relations – Aide to RT President Iskander Muflikhanov, Vice-premier of republican Government Zilya Valeeva, Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov, Director general of JSC “Kazanorgsintez” Leonid Alekhin, Director general of JSC “Tatneftehiminvest-holding” Rafinat Yarullin.
Delegation of Lodz Voivodeship stays in Tatarstan with four-day visit. Guests have already visited IT-park, met with Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin. The itinerary includes as well visit to Kazan federal university, SEZ Alabuga, JSC KAMAZ and Kama industrial park Master in Naberezhnye Chelny. Officials of several Polish companies including OOO “Textileimpex” are on the delegation. OOO “Textileimpex” is a company engaged in export-import activity in the sphere of textile and chemical industry.
In the course of meeting in the Kazan Kremlin Rustam Minnikhanov expressed hope that this visit would give new impetus to trade-economic, scientific-educational, and cultural relations between Tatarstan and Lodz Voivodeship.
Tatarstan President reminded relationships between Tatarstan and Poland have lately become more active. “Last year Polish Ambassador visited Kazan twice and Gdansk in December. A Polish society “Bely Orel”, Polish catholic parish, and a school with Polish language teaching are functioning in Kazan.
RT President noted Tatarstan companies are so far poorly presented in Poland.
“We have had contacts with Lodz Voivodeship since 1996. I hope your visit will refresh our relationships. I suppose we should find applied projects in business, education, culture and sport”, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
Officials of Polish companies told about plans on cooperation development with Tatarstan.
Tatarstan President gave assignment to prepare Protocol by results of the meeting and consider offered projects in detail.
On March 10, the third meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the 20th anniversary Russian Venture Forum 2026 to be held in Kazan from April 8 to 10, chaired by Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and with participation of Tatarstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and co-chair of the forum’s organizing committee Aleksey Pesoshin, President of the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan Rifkat Minnikhanov, Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of Tatarstan Damir Galiev as well as representatives of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and partner organizations via videoconference, took place.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
