Rustam Minnikhanov: forest selection seed-growing centre is a perfect example of forestry modernization

Forest selection seed-growing centre opened in Sabinsky region of the Republic of Tatarstan on January, 19. In the opening ceremony took part Head of Federal forestry agency Viktor Maslyakov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, member of Federation council of RF Federal assembly Ralif Safin, RT Minister of forestry Nail Magdeev, sales director of ВСС АВ company Andreas Berner (Sweden).
Upon arriving to the Centre (Leskhoz settlement, Sabinsky municipal region Viktor Maslyakov, Rustam Minnikhanov and their party saw over administrative-production block, training centre and modernized laboratory with the most advanced equipment.
Opening of such Forest selection seed-growing centre is an important event in the industry, Head of Federal forestry agency Viktor Maslyakov stated speaking to guests and staff of republican forest divisions. It is an opportunity to preserve forestland in Russia and Tatarstan using absolutely new planting material, now we see real actions, not just words, he said.
He also believes Forest selection seed-growing centre will enable adopting new technologies in forestry sector, using new solutions, training new staff. Head of Federal forestry agency noted Tatarstan used the most up-to-date technologies, not saving on equipment. He reminded the Centre was mainly constructed at the expense of Tatarstan Republic, whereas federal funding made 30 % only. “It means you believe in future, live for the sake of future generations and Russia”, Viktor Maslyakov said.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated in his turn forest selection seed-growing centre is a perfect example of forestry modernization. By his words the centre was created to involve and use scientific ideas and prepare highly skilled specialists. “Using all opportunities of the Centre is of great importance for us, and we want absolutely new international solutions to be implemented here, in Tatarstan”, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
In 2009 the project implied the Centre would occupy the area of seven hectares. However, according to the project of 2011 it makes 11,3 hectares with an administrative-production block, grounds for hardiness and growth completion of seedlings and four greenhouses on the territory.
Upon completion of the opening ceremony guests viewed an exposition representing production of Kaibitsky and Zelenodolsk forestry divisions, Lubyansk forestry division – technical school, Shemordan industrial complex, GBU “Nurlatles”, branch of JSC Vamin - “Vamin-Saba”, and a company producing Kukmor valenki.
Later on Head of Federal forestry agency Viktor Maslyakov and RT President Rustam Minnikhanov answered questions of media representatives.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
