Rustam Minnikhanov: preparation for summer Universiade – 2013 is a priority task of RT Ministry of the interior

Preparation for holding summer Universiade – 2013, safety ensuring is a priority task of the staff of RT Ministry of the interior in 2012, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated at an extended panel session of RT Ministry of the interior.
The session was dedicated to outcomes of operational -staff activity of bodies and the interior units for 2011 and tasks for the next period.
World summer student sport games - 2013 (Universiade-2013) is an international event, and we all must understand ensuring safety of sportsmen, fans and guests is the main priority. Kazan will host a great number of people.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed it is impossible to realize the task without increasing material and technical base and using advanced safety technologies. Today specialists are thoroughly studying international experience in the sphere of holding such big events – Olympic games - 2008 and summer Universiade - 2011 in China (Shenzhen), summer Universiade – 2009 in Serbia (Belgrade).
Moreover, the interior bodies must control anti-extremism and anti-terrorism issues, Rustam Minnikhanov said. By his words, spreading of racial hatred is inadmissible.
RT President is sure a well-managed, systemic work aimed at separation of organized criminal units and deprivation of financial support is important for fighting against organized crimes in Republic.
According to RT President anti-corruption policy is being realized in Republic. Special subdivisions have been created, i.a. the RT President Department on issues of anti-corruption policy.
2011 was marked by reformation of the ministry’s structure. The process was implemented in Tatarstan without any hardships. Upon the whole, employees of RT Ministry of the interior have realized all tasks.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed due to efficient activity of law enforcement bodies, criminogenic situation in Republic is rather stable.
By words of RT President the main factor is improvement of the quality of citizens’ life that implies ensuring safety of citizens and their property.
Head of RT Ministry of the interior Asgat Safarov made the key report at the session. The speech of Tatarstan prosecutor Kafil Amirov was dedicated to objectives of the interior bodies for 2012.
State secretary – Deputy RF minister of the interior Sergey Bulavin told about reformation of the ministry, social protection of the staff and personnel policy.
Presentation of state awards of Russia and the Republic of Tatarstan to the distinguished employees was held afterwards.

On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.

On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”

On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.
