Rustam Minnikhanov attends section “Prospects of Russia” in the context of World economic forum in Davos

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has attended several events within the confines of World economic forum in Davos (Switzerland). We remind RT President is currently in Davos to take part in work of World economic forum (January 25-27, 2012).
Rustam Minnikhanov is accompanied by Director of Department for external relations -Aide to RT President on international issues Iskander Muflikhanov, Director general of JSC Tatneft Shafagat Takhautdinov, Director general of JSC KAMAZ Sergei Kogogin.
Officials of the Republic of Tatarstan have today attended a business lunch on behalf of Barclays Capital with participation of new governor of Colorado state John Hickenlooper.
Later on Rustam Minnikhanov and his party took part in work of section “Prospects of Russia” in the context of forum-2012.
Among participants of the discussion about the political and social-economic situation in the country in 2012 are First Vice-premier of the Russian Government Igor Shuvalov, ex- finance minister of Russia, professor of St.Petersburg university Aleksei Kudrin, EBRD President Thomas Mirow, and others.
Promotion of innovations and entrepreneurship in Russia, improvement of business climate, consolidation of business community were discussed during the session.
Today Rustam Minnikhanov is also going to meet with President of global network of firms PricewaterhouseCoupers – PwC Dennis Nelly, PwC manager for Central and Eastern Europe Michael Kubin and Managing Partner at PwC Russia David Grey.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
