Tatarstan to take part in two federal farm support programs in 2011

The Republic of Tatarstan is to take part in two federal farm support programs initiated by the Russian agriculture ministry in 2012. The two programs “Beginning farmer” and “Family farm” are meant to favour development of farms.
Such information was given by RT Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov at a republican meeting in the House of RT Government. The meeting in format of video conference was held by Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov.
Head of RT Ministry of agriculture and foodstuff informed programs are expected to be realized in 2012-2014. The sum of grant federal support for beginning farmers can make 1 mln 705 thousand roubles.
Marat Akhmetov reminded agricultural producers and farmers took 20 thousand loans for the sum of 4,6 bln roubles in banks in 2011.
By words of the minister, in terms of livestock sector development in Republic, milk production is one of the main components of the industry. The average daily volume makes 3 thousand tons of milk.
Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov focused on development of horse breeding in Tatarstan. By his words, decrease of livestock from 19,5 thousand to 18 thousand head was marked in the sphere of horse breeding.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
