Rustam Minnikhanov meets with chiefs of Tatarstan enterprises

A meeting on interaction between industrial enterprises and supervision bodies in the sphere of industrial and ecological safety was held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in Kazan on January, 31. In the event took part Tatarstan PM Ildar Khalikov, heads of ministries and departments, directors of industrial enterprises of Republic.

Issues of Russia’s joining WTO and interaction of Tatarstan enterprises with ecological supervision bodies were discussed at the meeting. RT minister of economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov and minister of ecology Artem Sidorov presented information to directors.

Rustam Minnikhanov stressed such meetings with heads of enterprises are very useful for Tatarstan leadership.

Head of Tatarstan believes Russia’s joining WTO is a reality and now enterprises of Republic have to gain advantage of it. At the same time entrance to international markets can be realized with competitive production. Therefore, currently republican businessmen and leadership have to define and realize measures on increasing competitiveness of Tatarstan enterprises.

As for ecological safety, interaction between federal, republican and municipal authorities should be established.

Tatarstan President considers regular work on increasing ecological safety should be implemented by authorities and business sector. Head of Tatarstan also summarized outcomes of 2011. Thus, the volume of output made 1,3 trillion roubles, gross regional product – 1,25 trillion roubles, fized capital investments – 365 bln. “I am sure by 2016 we will realize the goal of achieving the gross regional product in the volume of 2 trillion roubles”, Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Finally the President thanked heads of enterprises. “Tatarstan achievements are your achievements to a large extent. I wish you good luck”, Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the audience.
