Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan successes to a large extent are bound to the Republican Prosecutor’s office

A well-coordinated work of all law enforcement bodies of Tatarstan, in particular Prosecutor’s office, guarantee stable development of Tatarstan Republic, RT President Rustam Minnikhanov stated at a debriefing of RT Prosecutor’s office.

Deputy Chairman of RT State Council Aleksandr Gusev, Chief federal inspector on RT Rustam Idrisov, heads of ministries and departments attended the session.

Tatarstan prosecutor Kafil Amirov informed about new staff assignments in RT prosecution agencies and introduced new employees. The prosecutor reported on outcomes of RT Prosecutor’s office activity in 2011. Thus, more than 69 thousand appeals have been received from Tatarstan citizens by prosecution agencies in 2011.

Kafil Amirov stressed RT prosecution paid much attention to protection of interests of disadvantaged social groups, small and medium-size entrepreneurship.

President of Tatarstan noted active position of RT Prosecutor’s office on many issues of public-political and social-economic life of Republic. Head of RT focused on several problems to be solved by Tatarstan Prosecutor’s office. Thus, he asked not to reduce control over observance of labor legislation. As for anti-corruption measures, activity of officials must be strictly regulated. The role of prosecution is important in terms of exclusion of corruption component from legislative acts.

Rustam Minnikhanov paid attention to facts of prosecution appeals against municipal normative legal acts. Therefore he addressed leadership of RT Prosecutor’s office with request to establish closer interaction with municipalities.

Head of Tatarstan urged RT prosecution to toughly counteract extremist acts.

RT President thanked RT Prosecutor’s office for joint work with republican leadership on preservation of historical center of Kazan and great contribution in ensuring legality, law and order in Republic.
