Tatarstan President holds meeting on construction of objects in the Kazan historical center

Facades and roofs of houses and buildings located on routes leading to sport objects and sites to be used during Universiade-2013 are to be made look presentable in the Republic of Tatarstan before holding summer Universiade-2013. The issue has been discussed today at a meeting in the House of RT Government held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
In order to reconstruct and maintain Kazan historical center the following objects are planned to be repaired or reconstructed, – Gorky literature and memorial museum, Kamal house-museum, E.Baratynsky estate museum, buildings near Apanaev mosque.
At the meeting RT Minister of construction, architecture and utilities Irek Faizullin reported on objects under construction in the Kazan historical center that are meant to be finished in 2012 in accordance with the President’s assignment.
Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin told about work on arranging objects of cultural heritage and decisions made in terms of construction in the Kazan historical center. He informed agreements on arranging facades of buildings by the spring 2013 had been signed with owners of objects. As for objects of historical-cultural heritage 12 of them were sold in 2011.
The Minister of forestry Nail Magdeev told about preparatory work on restoring monuments of wooden architecture.
Chief architect of Kazan Tatiana Prokofieva presented objects discussed before and by which it was recommended to make changes in projects.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
