Rustam Minnikhanov: we should create infrastructure for farming

Creation of processing and marketing infrastructure, organizations rendering services to farming enterprises is one of the priority tasks for Tatarstan agricultural sector. Such an opinion has been expressed today by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov at XII Convention of Association of farmers, peasant households and agriculture cooperatives of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Chairman of the Association Kamiyar Baitemirov made a report on activity of farming enterprises of the republic. He told about a set of problems faced by peasant households, farmers and agriculture cooperatives, in particular, about granting allotments for agricultural needs. The farmers say this procedure is connected with a lot of bureaucratic obstacles.
Thus, Rustam Minnikhanov addressed heads of municipal formations with requirement to find a wise compromise between the control over land use and simplicity of its granting to agricultural enterprises.
During the meeting the attendees raised a problem of granting subsidies to farming enterprises. Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the procedure must be transparent.
Head of Tatarstan emphasized development of minor forms of households is essential as the way to provide employment in the country and maintain rural lifestyle. The state must support minor forms of agriculture by creating necessary infrastructure, Rustam Minnikhanov believes.
The “Leasing-grant” program is another form of state support of minor forms of households, Rustam Minnikhanov informed. RT President addressed Director of the Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov with requirement to allocate no less than 30 % of funding for the country annually.
Rustam Minnikhanov also promised to address the federal center with request regarding stabilization of fuel prices for agricultural producers.
RT President reminded that within the last two years Tatarstan leadership has been rendering serious support to development of peasant households, farming enterprises. Realization of this policy will be continued, he assured.
Finally President of Tatarstan thanked farmers for their difficult work and delivered several awards.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
