The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnkhanov has met with the President of All-Russia federation of rhythmic gymnastics Irina Viner in the Kazan Kremlin.

Rustam Minnkhanov was interested in an opinion expressed by Irina Viner regarding the Kazan Centre of gymnastics under construction. By words of Irina Viner this complex is the largest in Russia, there are halls with 11 carpets in Kazan only. She expressed her wish about increasing the number of places for the audience in the main hall noting that it would enable holding major competitions up to the European Championship.

Head of All-Russia federation of rhythmic gymnastics noted with regret that even Russia’s team in Moscow does not have such premises and has to train in a hall with only 4 carpets.

Rustam Minnkhanov offered using the Kazan Centre of gymnastics as the training base for the national team. Irina Viner suggested Rustam Minnkhanov holding a World Cup stage in rhythmic gymnastics in the new center. The Tatarstan President supported the idea and addressed Rafis Burganov with requirement to work out all relevant issues.
